Protein Quinoa Porridge

This breakfasts is filled with protein from natural Whole Food as quinoa, eggs and nuts. Yet so simple to make. Protein plays a major role in our overall health and vitality. It is a fundamental element in the body's composition, making up essential components such as muscles, hair, skin, nails, enzymes, hormones, and more. Eating a protein rich breakfast sets the tone for the day and together with complex carbs and healthy fats this will have a positive impact on your blood sugar regulation, cravings, gut health, hormone health and overall wellbeing.

10-15 minutes

  • 1 dl boiled quinoa ( 1/2 dl quinoa grains)

  • 2 tbsp oats / 10g oats

  • 1 tbsp chiaseeds

  • 1 tbsp hempseeds

  • 2 tsp flaxseeds

  • 2 dl water

  • 1 egg

  • 1 fresh picked date ( chopped) / 1/2 tsp honey

  • Salt and cinnamon

    Toppings:

  • Berries

  • Nut butter

  • Seeds

    If you have pre-boiled quinoa add it together with the oats,seeds, the chopped date, salt and cinnamon to a pot and simmer until thickened.

    ( If not then boil the quinoa for 5-7 minutes in 2 dl water and then add the oats, chia seeds, chopped date and the spices and simmer until thickened)

    When thickened add the egg into the oats. Blend it until smooth and let it simmer again until fluffy consistency.

    Top your oats with fruits/ berries, natural nuts and seeds and finish off with some almond milk if you’d like.
